Artificial Intelligence that Can Be Experienced and Explained
Modern AI systems have amazing capabilities, such as classifying objects, but they are often a "black box" for the user. This is a problem because you don't know why the AI came to the decision it did, when you can trust it, and when it's better not to. This is where explainable artificial intelligence (XAI) comes in, highlighting, for example, which image components led to the assessment and how reliable the AI is. In this exhibit, visitors can have objects recognized and see in real time how the AI decides and why. Suitable for ages 12 and up.
