PULLING BLOOD FROM A STONE: Guided Tours Through The Multimedia Installation About Minerals
How do artists engage with rocks? What intrigues them wandering through TU Berlin’s Mineralogical Collections? This exhibition is the conclusion of the artistic residency program EARTH featuring artist Niamh Schmidtke, who invites you to reflect on deep time, extraction, capitalism, and colonialism in relation to the materials which power our planet. Attend the introduction to the multimedia installation by artist Niamh Schmidtke and curator Ariane Koek, who initiated the art and environmental sciences research residency program EARTH WATER SKY funded by the Fondation Didier et Martine Primat.
