Debunking Science Myths: Preconceptions about science put to the test

How skeptical or trusting are we of science? In general, the German population holds a positive image, but there are also signs of skepticism. According to a national survey, this is based, e.g., on the assumption that researchers are heavily dependent on their funders or often make mistakes. We want to get to the bottom of these assumptions. The exhibition offers a differentiated insight into the day-to-day working lives of researchers and also asks visitors about their attitudes towards trust in research. | Freia Kuper

Das Alexander von Humboldt Institut für Internet und Gesellschaft (HIIG) erforscht die Entwicklung des Internets aus einer gesellschaftlichen Perspektive, um die Digitalisierung aller Lebensbereiche besser zu verstehen. Als erstes Forschungsinstitut in Deutschland hat das HIIG ein Verständnis erarbeitet, um mit einer transdisziplinären Expertise eine europäische Antwort auf den digitalen Strukturwandel zu entwickeln.
