A Cinematic Crawl Space: 1920s Nature Film by Hermann Kricheldorff Rediscovered
In the past few years, students from the audiovisual preservation track at HTW have inspected and documented the rare film treasures of Hermann Kricheldorff (1868-1928), saved from the basement of the family's home in Berlin by the German Museum of Technology. Now, these films have been deposited for long term preservation and scanning at Filmarchiv Austria. Join us for the premiere of the first moving images of some of Kricheldorff's film treasures and thus be amongst the first ones to witness bugs, crustaceans and Bavarian dances in these images unseen for about a century!
